Biographical Summary[]
Little is officially known about these clandestine warriors-for-hire – though it is rumoured that they are a cohesive group with their own secret headquarters and manufacturing plant for the stealth-enabling body armour that they wear. Regardless of their origin, they hire themselves out in a strictly solo capacity through intermediaries across the frontier systems.
Their armour renders them invisible both visually and to most forms of scanning technology, making them particularly useful as unseen bodyguards, or for infiltration tasks such as assassinations and kidnappings. Should they die on the job, the armour is equipped with an implosive self-destruct mechanism that, thus far, has prevented anyone from either identifying their race or securing their body armour for technical analysis - hence the rumour that they are in fact part of an as-yet unknown organisation.
Several savvy Battledome team leaders were quick to realise the tactical utility of having a sneaky unit during the battle royale style matches, there being several instances of combatants believing themselves to be the “last man standing”, only for a stealth mercenary to decloak behind them and knock them out cold.
